Here are the main ideas I shared. Go through them in order, or tap a timestamp to watch the part you need.
Look past the scary headline and follow what it means for a business.
When everyday costs and borrowing costs stay high, people and businesses have less money left over. I’m looking at what that pressure means for the companies I own, rather than reacting to every headline.
When essentials cost more, customers have less left for other purchases.
Higher interest means more money goes towards debt, leaving less to reinvest.
I want businesses with healthy cash flow and manageable debt that can keep moving forward.
Which businesses can survive, or even thrive, under this pressure?
Follow where AI creates demand beyond the headlines.
AI is bigger than one company or one chip. I’m following where businesses need to spend, who helps them use AI, and which companies have an edge that can last. A growing industry is the starting point. We still need to understand the business and the price.
More digital activity creates more things to protect. I’m watching businesses whose products customers rely on to keep their operations safe.
Who can turn AI into something customers actually use and pay for? I want to see useful products and a business that benefits from them.
AI needs infrastructure, and that infrastructure needs electricity. I’m still researching where that demand becomes a durable business opportunity.
I’m watching selected chip and hardware businesses, including Micron, Dell, Broadcom and Nvidia. The question is what makes each business special, rather than whether it has “AI” in the story.
My 15 AI stocks, scored through the same set of questions.
This is my research shortlist. Before I look at an entry price, I want to understand how the company makes money, why customers choose it, and whether the numbers back up the story. A great business can still be a poor investment if I pay too much.
These are my own levels, based on my research and what I’m comfortable with. Take them as a reference. How much you invest and what risk you take still need to fit you.
A simple way to pause before fear or FOMO takes over.
When the price moves, it’s easy to feel that we must do something. My checklist brings me back to the business. What has changed, and does my original reason for owning it still hold?
The checklist is useful only if you believe in it and use it. Adapt it into rules you can follow with your own money.
The same stock can be a different decision for each of us. Start with your life.
What do you want investing to do for your life? Your plan should serve that purpose, rather than just chase the highest return.
Money for your home, family or near-term commitments needs its own place. Work out what you can leave invested before deciding what to buy.
How long can you give the investment? A long-term business story needs money you can leave alone long enough for that story to play out.
There’s the risk you feel comfortable with, and the risk your circumstances allow. Your position sizes need to respect both.
Look at the whole picture. Each stock, your cash and your other assets should have a role, rather than becoming a collection of unrelated ideas.
Build a plan that fits you, so you know how much to invest, what to keep aside and what to do next.

10 years ago, I was a clueless engineering grad figuring out how to make more money.
I started investing with four figures. Guess what... I failed so badly! At one point, I lost 50% of my annual salary.
That was my wake-up call. I stopped relying on tips and started building an investing framework I could trust. Today, my portfolio is worth over S$500K.
But I also remember what it felt like to be lost, lose money and have no idea what to do next. I wanted to help other investors work through that, so I started sharing what I’d learned.
That eventually led me to head an investment coaching team at one of Singapore’s top investing education academies. Since then, I’ve taught over 1,000 students and coached 200+ private clients.
Why do I do this? Investing changed my life, man. It gave me the freedom to send my wife to work, have breakfast with my parents on a weekday, and be present.
Being able to teach something I’m this passionate about, and help others build their own version of that freedom, has been a dream come true.
New to investing and unsure where to start? Struggling to decide when to buy, hold or sell? Or have you invested for years but still lack a consistent process? Let’s work through it together in a private 1:1 strategy call and build your personal portfolio gameplan.
We’ll work through your goals, questions and current situation, so we can focus on what matters most to you.
A plan built around your goals, cash needs, risk and portfolio, with clear actions you can start working on.
Revisit our discussion anytime. You can also give the transcript to your AI tool so it has more context about you.
We’ll go through every stock you hold, why you bought it, whether the business story still holds and how it fits your portfolio.
That’s wonderful! The fact that you’re asking shows you’re willing to take that first step. So many people keep saying they’ll start “one day”, but you’re here, ready to do something about it. That’s what I love to see, and I’d love to help you get started! Just book a call, and we’ll work out what you can do right away.
Just fill in the short form before you book and you're good to go :) And prepare your portfolio + burning questions too. If you haven't started investing, that's fine too! Tell me where you are and what you want to achieve. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we speak.
You can attend courses, understand the concepts, and still freeze when it’s time to put your own money in. I’ve been there myself. We'll work through together on the call exactly where are the blockers - whether it's choosing a business, knowing when to buy/sell, second-guessing your decisions etc.
No I'm not going to do that because I believe you'll learn nothing from it. Instead, I’ll share my takes on the businesses, valuations and risks of the companies you’re looking at. More importantly, I want you to understand the thinking behind the decision, so you can make that call yourself.
Everyone starts from somewhere right? And how I see it - A small portfolio has the potential to grow into something bigger :) More importantly, you're taking the first step ahead and that's what matters the most. So let's get going! We’ll work with what you have, what you can afford to invest, and where you want to go.
You’ll leave knowing what to focus on next, with two or three clear actions. After the call, I’ll send you your personal portfolio gameplan, together with the recording, transcript and AI summary, so you can always come back to what we discussed.
If I feel I can 100% help you, and if and only if we both feel we’re a good fit, I might invite you to join my program. But no pressure!
It’s a private 1-to-1 session designed just for you, and I’ve coached over 200 private clients so far.
